Dometic Marine, the world’s leading supplier of marine air conditioning and sanitation systems and equipment, has announced the winners of the coveted Dometic International Marine Excellence (DIME) Awards for distributors and dealers.
Given annually in recognition and appreciation of sales performance and customer service, the awards were presented at a special ceremony which was opened by Julien Lefeuvre, Head of Marine OEM - EMEA, Dometic, at a gathering of dealers and distributors during METS. The awards are based on sales of the company’s premium brands, which include Condaria, Cruisair®, Marine Air, SeaLand®, and WAECO as well as the company’s own Dometic brand.
On announcing the awards, Julien Lefeuvre said: “It has been an improved year for the global boating industry after a difficult period, but despite these challenges many of our award winners have achieved higher than expected results and out-performed the market. The secret to their success has been on-going commitment and dedication to supplying problem-solving products, backed by high quality customer service.
“I would like to thank and congratulate all our 2013 DIME Award winners and wish them the best for continued success in 2014.”
Dometic also presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to honour an outstanding contribution to the company. Announced by Frank Marciano, President of Dometic Americas, the winner of the award was named as Enrico Corbella, the Managing Director and former owner of Dometic brand Condaria, who has dedicated more than 50 years to the marine industry and has worked with Condaria since 1987.
There are four categories in the 2013 Awards - Sales Platinum, Sales Gold, Sales Silver and a Service Award – in addition to the Lifetime Achievement Award. This year a total of 3 Sales Platinum, 16 Sales Gold and 17 Silver Sales Awards were presented and 12 companies were recognised with a Service Award.
