Laser - Lasers needed to help Sri Lankan youth

Following the Enterprise World Championships in Sri Lanka this year, UK and Irish Enterprise sailors have launched a campaign to send a container full of Lasers, or Laser parts, to young sailors in Sri Lanka.

UK marine PR company ADPR is therefore looking for donations of complete Lasers or laser hulls, but will accept anything in the form of spare gear. Cash donations will also be accepted, although the main focus is on donations of complete or incomplete Lasers or just spare parts.

"There must be a large number of old and unwanted Lasers or parts currently around the UK in garages, sheds and boat parks," reads an ADPR press release. "This is a good opportunity to 'recycle' them, clear some space at home or at the sailing club and at the same time help an emerging, less advantaged nation to get some of their youth involved in this wonderful, ever growing sport."

To get involved in the Sri Lanka appeal, contact Alice Driscoll at ADPR on Tel 0797 1019377 or email Srilankaappeal@adpr.co.uk
