Camper & Nicholsons Marinas has extended its partnership with Porto San Rocco to run for a period of five years. The partnership sees Camper & Nicholsons continue to develop its network of ...
... premium branded marinas, and provides Porto San Rocco with the resources to reach a broader international market.
Located in the Bay of Muggia, within the Gulf of Trieste, Porto San Rocco is a unique deep-water marina providing first-class facilities to 522 berths for yachts up to 60 metres in length. Its position in the northern Adriatic makes it the perfect base for cruising the Dalmatian coast of Croatia.
It also offers ready access to Venice, with visitors increasingly using the marina to pick up charter and private guests bound for the major events of the Venice Biennale and Film Festival - or simply to visit this historic city and the islands and waterways of north eastern Italy.
Alongside the marina is a fully-pedestrianised residential complex, designed by Italian architect Luigi Vietti. This includes a yacht club, a 64-room hotel and restaurant, shops, underground parking and 24-hour security. Residents and visitors can also enjoy a large teak solarium terrace, a 300-seat congress room, 25 metre open swimming pool and a fitness centre.
"The past year has shown the benefits of Camper & Nicholsons´ brand and strong reputation in the marketplace. This has helped us particularly in attracting superyachts interested in renting and purchasing berths at Porto San Rocco."
Camper & Nicholsons CEO, Nick Maris, sees Porto San Rocco as a strong complement to the company´s network. "In a modern marina, customers demand the service standards and professionalism they are used to receiving in a top class hotel," he said. "Porto San Rocco delivers that level of excellence, and our team´s international expertise is helping to bring that message to high-end yacht owners worldwide."
With Trieste´s airport just 45 minutes´ drive, Porto San Rocco is the hub of an active international racing scene, with regular grand-prix sailing events based at the marina. It recently played host to the Beneteau Cup and the Adriatic International Trophy for the IRC Class.
It is also the perfect location from which to explore the Gulf of Trieste and the city itself, with its historical cafés, the castle of Miramare, and its theatres and museums. A short distance inland are the dramatic Val Rosandra canyon and the Karst plateau.
Whether a yacht is visiting to race, cruise or explore the interior, its owner guests and crew are guaranteed a warm welcome from Porto San Rocco´s friendly and knowledgeable staff.
