Contest Yachts of Holland is delighted to have chosen the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016 for the World Premiere of the brand new 19m Contest 67CS.
This dynamically styled and beautifully engineered yacht is the renowned Dutch bluewater specialist constructor’s first completed new model launch since the exciting announcement two years ago of a new design partnership with celebrated German naval architects judel/vrolijk & co.
Combining the performance expertise of judel/vrolijk and the trusted practice and innovation of the third generation, family run Contest Yachts which builds yachts under Lloyds’ plan approval and hull certificate, the Contest 67CS presents a fascinating twinning of energies to deliver a striking evolution of these performance world cruisers.
Built in semi-custom manner with each new Contest 67CS individually specified and fitted to exact personal taste, the principal plan is a four cabin, four heads arrangement with versions including master suite forward or aft. Designed for eased short-handed operation as well as occasional sporty regatta participation, the Contest 67CS can be enjoyed by sailing couples or full family. And with, if desired, a crew cabin for captain or hand, she is perfect for charter as well as private use to help offset cost.
The sector for this size of yacht is currently busy with launches. The Contest 67CS stands out for not just her style, design and thrilling, performance cruising – everyone suggests this as the case – but for her exceptional detail engineering and highest levels of systems installation. The technical detailing is simply class leading with the extent of attention to safety and back-up processes highly unusual even in the semi-custom build market. From the dedicated, temperature-cooled technical room to the eased access to service points and touch screen ship’s management system monitoring the yacht’s near entire safe operation, there’s much to discover aboard the new Contest 67CS.
